“When the card companies, most notably Topps from my experience, started making these limited edition, with many "1 of 1", cards featuring notables from areas of history and entertainment, they were well received,” said John Hickey, sales development manager for Heritage Auction Galleries in Dallas.

With Derek Jeter and Yogi Berra as spokesmen, the DHL All-Star FanFest opens July 11 at the Jacob K. Javits Center in New York. The show runs through July 15.
FanFest offers more than 40 interactive exhibits and attractions, Major League clinics and seminars, free autograph sessions with Yankees legends and Hall of Famers, memorabilia and more. Some of the attractions at FanFest include:

Topps and Upper Deck, the two companies licensed to produce Major League Baseball cards, will have redemption programs at FanFest 2008, July 11-15, at the Jacob K. Javits Center in New York City.

Topps has eight cards in its wrapper redemption program lineup.
