Skycaps at East Coast airports join suit over check-in fees
Encouraged by a legal victory at Boston's Logan International airport, skycaps at several other East Coast airports have sued over pay.Skycaps in Raleigh-Durham and Charlotte, N.C., Philadelphia, and Washington, D.C. have joined similar suits. And lawyers involved in the cases say more complaints are likely in the coming months.
Inventor hopes virus shield pays off
RALEIGH, N.C. -- About a decade ago, Steve Michielsen was like a lot of inventors. He had a great idea, no money and only a vague plan for how to unleash his genius on the world.This month a specially treated fabric is rolling off machines that will be used to make face masks that Michielsen thinks will kill virtually any human or animal virus on contact.
