Many were caught off-guard when "The Prisoner" aired in 1967. It was nonlinear television full of symbols and deeper meanings -- sort of like "Lost" for the hippie era. "The Prisoner" was a statement about the Cold War and international instability.

In the world of "CSI: Crime Scene Investigation," this is the mother of all crossovers.
A three-part story will intertwine all three "CSI" shows -- the original "CSI" set in Las Vegas, "CSI: Miami" and "CSI: NY." The crossover begins with the "Miami" episode (airing 10 p.m. Monday, CBS).
On HBO: Documentary on Obama campaign
A viewer's political allegiance will largely dictate whether he or she chooses to watch HBO's "By the People: The Election of Barack Obama" (9 p.m. Tuesday). For virulent Obama opponents, the documentary represents just another opportunity to paint the media with an extra-large Obama-lovers brush. For supporters, it's a chance to re-live the president's rise to power.
Late night TV gets diverse comics
During last week's season finale of "Real Time With Bill Maher," newsman Chris Matthews ribbed the host about the evening's lineup: five middle-aged white guys. It wouldn't have taken a "Dateline" investigation for Matthews to take the observation one step further.

At least that's what TNA Wrestling is hoping after signing deals this week with Hulk Hogan and Eric Bischoff.
