Family of burglars arrested
A man, his son and 14-year-old grandson all were arrested last week after police say they teamed up to burglarize a car.
The trio was arrested on suspicion of vehicle burglary, criminal mischief, felony theft and possession of burglary tools. Officers nabbed the family members after they left a restaurant parking lot after they allegedly committed a burglary.
Arrow misses target, hits industrial worker
A Utah man was struck in the thigh Monday afternoon by an arrow that missed its target.
The man was working in an industrial area of Salt Lake City when the arrow hit him in the inner left thigh, according to police.
Vandalism at Mormon buildings may have political link

With faces painted like clowns, gang inflicts damage
Two teens with their faces painted like clowns were arrested last weekend in a Salt Lake City suburb for allegedly trying to kidnap a 5-year-old boy -- the second time in recent weeks that members of the so-called Juggalos gang have crossed paths with law enforcement.
Utah marijuana forest yields thousands of plants
SALT LAKE CITY -- Officials have found thousands of massive marijuana plants near a canyon south of Cedar City, Utah.Iron County Sheriff Mark Gower said hunters reported Friday that they had seen pot plants in the area. The Sheriff's Office sent sniper crews in and scouted the area for 36 hours to see if they could find any activity before finally moving in Wednesday.
Angler trapped in icy creek for 16 hours
MURRAY, Utah -- His leg was securely wedged between a pair of boulders. He was waist deep in a rushing creek.
