If this doesn't make you think twice about going into the water, nothing will.
The 2009 edition of Discovery Channel's "Shark Week" includes six new specials that look at the finned predators. The first is "Blood In the Water," premiering 9 p.m. EDT Sunday. It documents a series of attacks in New Jersey in 1916.
Other new shows include:
-- A special edition of "Survivorman," 9 p.m. Monday, in which the survivalist travels to five of the most shark-infested areas on Earth.
-- "Day of the Shark 2," 10 p.m. Monday, looking at a great white that was able to bust through a 300-pound cage, trapping the divers.
-- "Sharkbite Summer," 9 p.m. Tuesday, detailing the summer of 2001, when attacks seemed to dominate the news.
-- "Great White Appetite," 9 p.m. Wednesday, centering on the great white and what makes it such an unusual creation.
-- "Shark After Dark," 9 p.m. Thursday, which sounds like a naughty Cinemax special, though it's really about how sharks operate at night.

SUNDAY
-- "Hitler's Hidden Holocaust" (10 p.m., National Geographic Channel). The report looks at Hitler's methods and plans to kill 1.5 million Jews.
MONDAY
-- "Forensics: You Decide" (10 p.m., Investigation Discovery Channel). This 13-part series looks at how forensic science can present more than one answer to the same mystery.
TUESDAY
-- "Addicted to Beauty" (10 p.m., Oxygen). This reality show is for the viewers who can't get enough of himself/herself.
WEDNESDAY
-- "How'd You Get So Rich?" (10 p.m., TV Land). Joan River goes nosing around to find out how rich people got so wealthy.
THURSDAY
-- "Bollywood Hero" (10 p.m., IFC). Chris Kattan gets his Bollywood side going in this spoof of Hollywood and India cinema.
