After "Seinfeld," Jerry Seinfeld has vowed never star in another series again, but he's coming close to it with his next projects.
Coming up:
-- The comic is reuniting with the cast of "Seinfeld" for multiple episodes this fall on HBO's "Curb Your Enthusiasm."
It marks the first time that Seinfeld, Michael Richards, Julia Louis-Dreyfus and Jason Alexander have worked on a series together with Larry David since "Seinfeld."
"Curb" returns Sept. 20.
"It was a lot of fun, incredible fun," says Seinfeld of the reunion. "We all get along so well together."
He says he and the neurotic David, who created "Seinfeld," are very similar people.
"We're not alike, but we have the same brain matter," Seinfeld says. "We fit together perfectly when we are working."
-- Seinfeld is returning to NBC on the reality show "The Marriage Ref."
The show will have bickering married couples asking celebrities to determine who's right.
Seinfeld will work mainly behind the scenes, but will also be seen on camera from time to time.
"Ref" does not have a premiere date yet, but NBC is said to be very keen on the series. Seinfeld says he is still tweaking the concept right now.
"When I think it is in a good place, we'll start (shooting)," he says.
Doing "Curb" and "Ref" is the closest Seinfeld says he will commit to doing another series.
He had his artistic and creative say with "Seinfeld." He has nothing more to say in that regard.
"I'm not a big believer in going back and twisting the sponge," he says. "We had a good time. Let's just leave it at that."
