Products that make life easier

Finding products to make life just a little easier is a search worth the time. Here are a couple that fit the bill.
A little dab'll do it: My kids were relieved when I was sent a bottle of this Momspit to test. I'm guilty of the old cleanup tool of licking my finger and wiping the schmutz off their dirty faces just before going in the door at preschool or Grandma's house. This totally grosses them out, and I get that, but what else are you going to do?
My boys have the unique ability to attract dirt, even on freshly washed faces that have done nothing but travel in the back of a car for 10 minutes. This foamy stuff works like hand sanitizer, except there's no alcohol to irritate sensitive faces and it comes in nice smells like Lemon White Tea. It got me out of a jam recently when a chocolate-smeared face emerged from the minivan. A stack of napkins and a dab of Momspit made him presentable. There's a slightly sticky feel to your hands at first but it goes away, so it's on my short list of diaper bag and minivan staples. Available on Amazon.com for $7.

The laundry list: New products come out all the time and I'm usually skeptical, especially with the cost of everything going up these days. But this one is definitely worth the $1 I paid for it. It's a single load packet of Ultra Tide, perfect for taking on the road for spring break or summer vacation.
Whether you're staying at the beach or a theme park hotel, you can take these packets along and keep your clothes clean -- provided there's a washer nearby. And this means you don't have to pack as much because you can wash your clothes on the road. The packets can easily fit inside a plastic bag (just in case they tear apart). I found them at Target.
