With Southeastern Conference regular season wrapping up Sunday, here's how the league shapes up from top to bottom.
-- 1. LSU (25-4 overall, 13-1 SEC): After clinching the SEC regular-season title with win at Kentucky Saturday, the Tigers, the SEC's only ranked team, are now playing for NCAA seeding.
-- 2. South Carolina (20-7, 9-5): A team on which everybody knows their roles and plays them.
-- 3. Auburn (20-10, 9-6): A bunch of 3-point shooting wild men who have edged their way toward the top of the league, as proven by Tuesday night's come-from-behind win at Alabama.
-- 4. Tennessee (18-10, 9-5): The Vols starting to show signs of life, just in the nick of time.
-- 5. Florida (21-8, 8-6): Florida has a nice bunch of athletes, but little toughness inside. Can Tim Tebow play hoops?
-- 6. Kentucky (19-10, 8-6): If this team gets a NCAA tourney at-large bid, the fix is in.
-- 7. Mississippi State (17-12, 7-7): The Bulldogs badly need a win over Florida Wednesday night to restart their engines.
-- 8. Alabama (16-13, 6-9): Tide effort to get back to .500 in league play ended with Auburn loss.
-- 9. Ole Miss (15-13, 6-8): Aching Rebels starting to fade, but they have a habit of rising when you write them off.
-- 10. Vanderbilt (17-11, 6-8): Beat the best and lost to the worst team in the Eastern Division last week.
-- 11. Arkansas (14-13, 2-12): Any win is a good win at this point.
-- 12. Georgia (11-18, 2-12): Ditto.
