Ranking the SEC recruiting classes

Ranking the recruiting classes around the uber-competitive Southeastern Conference.
-- 1. Alabama
Nick Saban reaffirms his reputation as college football's most relentless recruiter.

-- 2. LSU
Unexpectedly great recruiting year for a team coming off an 8-5 season.

-- 3. Georgia
Bulldogs sign two big-time QBs and get stud receiver Marlon Brown.

-- 4. Florida
Very solid and selective class for the Gators.

-- 5. South Carolina
This is Steve Spurrier's best recruiting class yet, especially on the defensive side of the ball.

-- 6. Arkansas
Hogs went heavy on defenders.

-- 7. Ole Miss
Nabbing wide receiver Pat Patterson early got the Rebels going.

-- 8. Mississippi State
New coach Dan Mullen gathered the in-state cream of the crop.

-- 9. Tennessee
A few recruiting victories for new coach Lane Kiffin but Tennessee was only SEC school failing to sign a quarterback.

-- 10. Auburn
When you're in the same state as Saban, almost anything you do is not good enough.

-- 11. Kentucky
Signed a top-15 QB and will get help from two Memphis area signees.

-- 12. Vanderbilt
About the same as always, but Vandy is recruiting a better quality athlete.
