I love to see where the world is going with this! As mentioned, many of the discussions and articles are now not about CO2 and global warming, that's pretty well been discredited in the blogosphere, but speculation on the aftermath of this big scam. This piece talk about how even the "left" is now laughing about global warming. Weather is what happens when you go outside and see if its raining. Climate is the trended behaviour of the global weather systems.

As a previous poster noted, weather is not to be confused with climate, nor does one cold weather record indicate a climate change trend. However, several years of dropping temperatures, in spite of the zero decrease in CO2, seem to indicate that, yes, there is climate change: it is getting colder and CO2 is not the culprit.
Recall the Goreacle's Nobel prize. Do not let Obama enact climate protection laws over a threat that does not exist. Remember that only people with an economically comfortable life have the time and resources to care one whit about the environment. A strong economy and an open democracy equal a healthy environment.

Let's clarify definitions
It's always so sad to see one insult and hurl names at others (as in "Plonker") when one really has no idea what one is talking about.... It's also sad to see someone change definitions to suit their own purposes. To wit:
Climate (kli'mit) n. 1. The prevailing weather conditions in a particular region. 2. A region having certain weather conditions: lives in a cold climate. 3. A general atmosphere or attitude: a climate of unrest. [From Greek flima, region; Indo-European root: klei-] climatic (-mat'ik) adk. cli-mat'i-cal-ly adv.
There is no such thing as global climate. At any given time, it will be snowing some places on earth while it is warm and sunny other places. Most places have a variety of weather conditions throughout the year - such as Minnesota. Other places have fairly constant weather conditions around the year - such as Hawaii.
Obviously, weather patterns are changing from what we consider the norm. But our time on earth (and our records of weather conditions) are short. We can not see the big picture, only our small window of time.
So give it up already. This scam has pretty much played itself out.
Global Cooling
I am an academic and predicted about 3-4 years ago that once our warming cycle shifted to a cooling cycle that the religious fanatics of global warming would attribute cooling to warming. And, here we go. In a simplistic way this is somewhat kin to boiling water and getting ice cubes. If the religious fanatics would take a graduate course in thermodynamics this would help their understanding. But, that would also get in the way of their doctrine.
Climate change models
The "climate change" models have failed miserably in their predictions. Compare previous IPCC forcast based on these models comparing them to what has happened. The models are not even close. Also the IPCC says it is a consensus which when put to analysis less than 60 people controlled the data predictions which came out before the computer model predictions. What supports the data put into these models? They don't say. It is a guarded secret. Such nonsense is not science when those "scientist" keep their supporting documentation confidential. It is time to shut the IPCC down as it is only garbage in and garbage out to support the carbon traders like Al Gore who has gotten very rich over this scam. Most of if not all of his predictions have been proven, by a british court and audits to be not true or even closely verifiable. Except by NASA's Jim Hanson which is an embarassment to NASA for faking the temperature records. This according to his former boss at NASA. It is a religion designed to shut down the civilized world. The 80% carbon reduction would not support the free enterprize system and only put us into another dark age. Now that we are in a La Nina cooling phase or worse carbon restrictions would cause mass starvation and many people to freeze to death. It is a worst case senerio. Making dissent a crime which Gore and Hansen want speaks for itself as evidence that they know the real truth and they do not want it to see the light of day least it proves their scam for what it is proving to be.
