What the bridal couple's dads should wear
Submitted by SHNS on Wed, 10/29/2008 - 14:38.
Q. If the bride's dad is in a tux, shouldn't the groom's dad wear one, too?
A. The dads have pretty simple guidelines for choosing their wedding attire. If the groom and the groomsmen are wearing tuxedos, then the dads should, too -- especially if guests are told to dress in black tie or formalwear. Even if the groom and his guys aren't going for tuxes, the dads can still wear theirs.
That said, formal suits in dark colors (black, navy or charcoal) for cooler months and lighter colors (brown, beige) for the warmer ones are popular options and provide a modern twist on the old penguin suit.
Just ask your dads to coordinate with the groom and groomsmen, and the formalwear store can help them all pick out the perfect attire.
