Two teens with their faces painted like clowns were arrested last weekend in a Salt Lake City suburb for allegedly trying to kidnap a 5-year-old boy -- the second time in recent weeks that members of the so-called Juggalos gang have crossed paths with law enforcement.Juggalos are enthusiasts of the rap group Insane Clown Posse, but police say it can be difficult to define the movement. The Salt Lake Metro Gang Unit officially calls the group a gang and estimates there are as many as 4,000 Juggalos in Utah. Only about 15 percent of the group are involved in gang activity, said Capt. Tom McLachlan, of the West Valley City police, where the teens were arrested.On July 29, two suspected Juggalos attacked a Kearns, Utah teen outside his home with a knife and a four-bladed replica of a medieval battle ax topped with a spiked ball. The victim suffered life-threatening injuries, including an 8-inch gash to his neck, and required more than 300 stitches to close his wounds. The two alleged attackers waived their right this week to a preliminary hearing. Cody Jesse Augustine, of West Jordan, Utah and Scott Tyler Stapley, of Murray, Utah, both 21, are each charged with one count of first-degree felony attempted murder. Arraignment is set for Oct. 3. The attempted child kidnapping occurred Saturday evening, when two teens with faces painted like clowns -- half smiling, half frowning -- tried pulling a 5-year-old boy into a car. Police said one teen threatened to kill the boy.The pair finally let go of the victim, who ran to his apartment, where his father called police, according to McLachlan. The two suspects -- an 18-year-old and a 15-year-old -- were found in the area with paint still on their faces. Police said they acknowledged involvement in the incident, but offered no explanation. The 18-year-old was booked into Salt Lake County Jail on suspicion of an attempted kidnapping, a potential felony, and marijuana possession, a misdemeanor.McLachlan said it's difficult to define all Juggalos as gang members based on actions from a minor subset, adding that he has been told that Juggalos' music generally encourages them to examine their lives and better themselves. But he said West Valley's selective enforcement unit is "very aware" of the Juggalos -- both those who cause problems and those who do not. McLachlan said members usually do not walk around with painted faces unless they are involved in some sort of group activity or going to a concert. Why is it that Juggalos do not consider what they do as anti-social behavior? They base their entire lifestyle around a band that is doing nothing but making money off them. It's like a religion and the band is the preacher. Then Juggalos wonder why people consider them a gang. It's actually more like a cult.
The only way ICP could sell their music is create a following of deadhead-like fans (look it up). Only they promote a bizzare cult lifestyle where they can do what they want without consequences. Why don't the Juggalos see this? You are living out someone else's lifestyle and are just another clone by doing this. Plus, criminal behavior doesn't help. One day I hope they look back and say, "why was I such a follower?"

First There are consequencess. And as for violence, if you would even try to read up on what you talk trash on, only 15% of juggalos are violent and most of them where invalved in gangs "BEFORE THEY WERE JUGGALOS". And as for the cult by defanition so are the Mormans, Cathlics, and most other Religions. So I guess we are all a part of some cult and we are all sheep( I think thats what god call his fallowers how ironic). So why dont you go find out a little more about juggalos and then maybe you can have a real thought on the subject.

Watch the news, tell me how often you see Juggalos and Juggalettes committing crimes. Now continue watching the news and tell me how often you see people not labeled as Juggalos or Juggalettes committing crimes. There are more crimes committed by "preps" and "jocks" than there are "goths" and Juggalos. Most people judge us based on the bad things that they hear about one small group of Juggalos, but do you judge preps based on one how one group or person has asked. Just because you don't know much about us doesn't give you the right to judge us. One of us could end up saving a life one day. You don't know. So before you decide to judge us, take a look around and see that there are worse people than us

Why do you got to profile us for the MUSIC we listen to? I love my family no doubt. I'd do anything for my family. That doesn't mean I'm going to start shooting people for no reason. Or for a little green peace of paper! You shouldn't be after us for nothing. You should be out there after those crack heads and those tweakers. I got arrested for having juggalo written on my arm. That seems like racial profiling to me but no I'm not the one with a little peace of metal on my blue shit. If you listen to the music its not talking about killin crips or bloods. They the ones you need to go for. I try to live my life day by day. But everyday my friends and I get profiled for what we believe in. Thats like Adolf Hitler! Going after people for what they believe in. To me it seems like people are just scared. You can't handle what us Juggalos have. I ain't out to kill you or anything. I'm out to live the life I want in whats supposed to be "freedom". But we all know theres no such thing as "freedom" in this world. I love my Juggalos & Juggalettes even if I don't know them. I love ya'll!! If its a free country, there wouldn't be money there wouldn't be police telling us how to live OUR lives! I'm a Juggalo and proud of it. I know I can trust my family till the end. Whether people want to think so or not we are a FAMILY not a gang. People who join gangs are just little kids at heart that can't get out in the world on there own. Juggalos and juggalettes are not all members of gangs sure just as in every family you have one or two people that turn to a life of crime but not all of the family does. Well it's the same with our family we just have millions of members in our family so there are more then a few that have turned to a life of crime but not all of us are criminals so stop judging the many by the actions of the few!!
