"I knew I was going to need to be prepared for a variety of events, activities and climates, so I picked key pieces that I could mix and match, dress up and dress down."Executives noticed Phelps wearing the clothes on television after employees at the Chico's store in Towson, Md., reported that she'd been shopping there for clothes to take on the trip. Michael Phelps is awesome. watching in the Olympics was amazing. Gold after gold... that was awesome.
Mommy Phelps is surely
Mommy Phelps is surely maximizing her son's advertisement powers. Any mom could have indulged in the same way as hers. You don't get the same chance twice, so she better enjoy it while Mike continues to rake in advertisements. It's every mom's dream for her son.
Well, good for Chico's if
Well, good for Chico's if they get some free publicity out of this, and good for Mrs. Phelps if she can make some money wearing the clothes she already wears...but let's be honest...we're not going to be seeing a whole lot of Mrs. Phelps after shots of her in Beijing stop being aired. Apart from those "reaction" shots, I don't think being the mom of Michael Phelps carries a lot of star power.
