The site also is available by public transportation; for directions, visit www.newseum.org.Hours, admission: The Newseum is open daily from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. except for Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year's Day. Admission is free on opening day (April 11) on a first-come, first-serve basis. After that, tickets cost $20 for adults, $18 for seniors, and $13 for children ages 7 to 12. Children 6 and under are free.
