Erbe wins 2008 Media Award

Journalist Bonnie Erbe received the 2008 Media Award this week from the Conference Board's Work Life Leadership Council.

The award was established in 1999 to honor journalists for exemplary coverage of the changing workforce and the changing family.

Erbe, a Scripps Howard News Service columnist, also hosts PBS's weekly women-focused news analysis and commentary program, "To the Contrary." In November 2007, she hosted a PBS documentary "9 to 5 No Longer," that explored how today's workplace is evolving for both employers and employees.

The Conference Board cited Erbe's body of work over her career and the depth and breadth of her knowledge concerning work and family issues.

The Conference Board is a not-for-profit international business membership and research organization based in New York City.
