Speak to her not just as a parent, but as another woman.Reveal your health issues to her the next time you both have time to chat. Ask for her input. Explain why you have the desire to see a gynecologist. Request her help in acquiring such medical expertise -- even if that includes going to your family doctor for a referral.It may also help to openly state that you're not sexually active. In an effort to reassure her, you may invite your mother to attend the doctor's appointment with you.
