Meet Team Three
My third draft was online, and unfortunately I had some problems accessing the draft room and then staying in the draft room. Thankfully, I had ranked many of the players before the draft, but there were several auto-picks made for me. A kicker in the ninth round? I would never, ever draft a kicker until at least the next-to-last round.
This is a 12-person, redraft, standard scoring, non-PPR league with team defense. I drew the first pick. We start 1 QB, 2 RBs, 3 WRs, 1 TE, 1 K and 1 D/ST.
Round 1—LaDainian Tomlinson
Round 2—Edgerrin James
Round 3—Torry Holt
Round 4—Cadillac Williams
Round 5—Marques Colston
Round 6—Tony Romo
Round 7—Jerry Porter
Round 8—Alge Crumpler
Round 9—Shayne Graham
Round 10—DeAngelo Williams
Round 11—Eli Manning
Round 12—Carolina Panthers D/ST
Round 13—Marcedes Lewis
Round 14—Ronald Curry
I will really be working the waiver wire in this league to make up for the unfortunate draft situation, but it could have been worse. Romo and E. Manning make a decent quarterback tandem. I’ve got LT (hooray!), I like Edge as my No. 2, and my backups at tailback are Cadillac and DeAngelo Williams, so I’m comfortable there.
I’m very weak at wide receiver, and Marcedes Lewis isn’t much of a backup tight end, so I already dropped Lewis to pick up Devery Henderson. Either Porter or Curry will probably be the next to go in favor of another as-yet-unheard-of wideout from a much better team.
