Police at Virginia Tech Tuesday announced the identity of the person who shot and killed 32 people in two campus buildings.
Chief Wendell Flinchum said he was Cho Seung-Hui, 23, a South Korean who is senior in the English department.
Police said they have recovered 9mm and .22-caliber weapons and said they have determined that one of those guns was used at both the dormitory and classroom building where the slayings took place.
They also said there is no evidence to link Monday'ss rampage to a series of bomb threats reported in recent weeks.
State police said the evidence does not conclusively rule out a second shooter, but they added that, based on what they know now that would be a reasonable assumption.
They said, however, that they are investigating whether Cho was helped by someone.
The attacks ended with the gunman's suicide, bringing the death toll to 33.
