ShareThis AMES, Iowa -- They'd better find labor peace in Denver, or at least one of the Democratic presidential contenders will skip the 2008 Democratic National Convention.
Rep. Dennis Kucinich of Ohio is a long-shot in the race for the Democratic nomination, but he's already making contingency plans in case there are picket lines outside the Pepsi Center convention.
"If there's a picket line, I'll accept the nomination at the headquarters of the AFL-CIO in Denver," Kucinich told the Rocky Mountain News after addressing a teachers group in Ames, Iowa. "If the AFL-CIO isn't available, any Teamsters hall will do, since my dad was a truck driver."

Dennis always stands up for labor than any other candidates
Is it worth it for a candidate to risk everything to support labor? We'll find out when labor unions issue their endorsements.
The other candidates regularly give the shaft to labor and expect to get labor's support, anyway. If labor endorses any candidate other than Kucinich, the clear messages is that shafting labor brings rewards from labor. The world is watching.
Kucinich is the best on labor issues
Labor needs to line up behind Kucinich and back him for President. He has never failed to stand up for the workers. No other candidate supports labor as much as Kucinich.
Wake Up America--Kucinich is in a League by himself
Only Kucinich is willing to cancel NAFTA and the WTO and return to fair trade to stop the outsourcing of high paying jobs overseas(which a President can do with 6 months notice).
He will also create a full employment economy with a new WPA.
The Patriot Act and the National ID card Act will be repealed and the practice of spying on ordinary Americans will come to a complete end.
Genetically Modified Foods will be regulated and farmers who contaminate nearby fields will be penalized.
And the practice of preemptive strikes and unilateralism will also end. So will the practice of lying to the American people.
Kucinich in a League by Himself
Mr. Kucinich is the only "real" Democrat--a true representative of the working and middle classes--who is running for President. Clinton/Obama/Edwards vs. Giuliani/McCain are simply two sides of the same corporate coin. The working and middle classes were betrayed when Bill Clinton joined with Reagan/Bush to bring us NAFTA and the WTO, devices by which the wealthy elite outsourced America's manufacturing base in search for cheap foreign labor. What is left of American labor is being Wal-Mart-ized. Kucinich is the "only" candidate calling for a repeal of NAFTA & the WTO; for a restoration of the "fairness doctrine" and breaking the stranglehold of the media conglomerates over what we see, hear and read. The Clinton/Obama/Edwards universal healthcare schemes are bogus health insurer subsidy schemes. As I read these articles from Iowa papers, there is something to be said about an Iowan, and beings I am one I can honestly say that Dennis Kucinich is the best man I have ever had the pleasure to see speak. He is the only one that calls a duck, a duck. He has the best message as far as education, foreign policy, and above all Peace for the world. We are all living in the same dot of time and it is crucial for all of us to get along and help each other and not fight against each other. Other countries are way ahead of us and if Dennis Kucinich is not elected President this time in 2008 I feel we are all doomed. I am now proudly living in his district, and applaud the way he is handling the Denver issue being a former Union Editor and Steward I am proud to say that Dennis is the only person whom represents 100% of my views.He is definitely KEEPIN IT REAL!!!!

It is satisfying to see in this union busting (read Confessions of a Union Buster), privitization plagued UNION of American States, a presidential candiddate that embraces collective bargaining and will refuse to cross a picket line! Amen to Rep. Dennis Kucinich! He may not have the Clinton money, the Obama charm, or the Edwards looks, but he speaks for and stands up for the American worker. Our founding fathers saw that united colonies standing together could defeat oppression and bring about effective and positive change. Unions are as American as Apple Pie; please support you locals and look for the union lable signifying American quality workmanship. I'm not a union member, myself, but I support them.

If they had stayed as their original intent, and not as they are now.
Out to ruin a company that is honest. If you don't join the UNION then you lose your job. Lets get back to a fair days pay for a fair days work. Go back to the BIBLE remember the Story about all the workers agreed to the same pay, including those who started in the AM worked through the heat of the day only to get the same amount as the ones who started a hour or so before quitting time.
