Reader question for week 14:
I've got Brees and Hasselbeck. I know Brees is one of the top fantasy QBs this year, but Hasselbeck at Arizona seems to be a much more favorable matchup than Brees at Dallas. Then again, Hasselbeck doesn't seem to be fully recovered yet. Your opinion?--Mike
Reply:Hasselbeck’s match-up is favorable and I think he’ll show improvement this week, especially playing in warmer weather. However, Drew Brees is a stud this year and I would not recommend sitting him, even against Dallas. Plus, Hasselbeck has traditionally not posted big numbers against the Cardinals, because Shaun Alexander usually torches them on the ground.
Chances are you’ve been riding Brees to several fantasy wins this year, so I certainly wouldn’t bench him now.
