Here's a sampling of new travel products that aim to reduce your in-flight exposure to germs, make your flight more comfortable and help you expedite your way through airplane security lines.

Cleaner air

The busy holiday travel season arrives at the same time as flu and cold season, and the last thing you want to do is breathe somebody else's germs. But that's hard to avoid on airplanes, where most of the air is recirculated throughout the cabin _ and scores of passengers. The Plane Clean Air Filter is a compact device that attaches to your overhead air nozzle to filter the air directed at you. It claims to filter up to 99.5 percent of bacteria, viruses and allergens. It's easy to put on and take off. $19.75 from TravelSmith.com, Amazon.com, WorldTraveler.com and other sites. Replacement filter, $6.75.

Cocoon CoolMax blanket

Carry your own travel blanket to avoid those used by other passengers. It folds up into a 3-1/2-inch-by-7-inch pouch and opens to 55 inches by 70 inches. $30. Cost ranges from $19 at Magellans.com to $30 at TravelSmith.

High-speed security

Keep all your important IDs and documents in one place and hands-free in this wearable pre-board organizer. It comes in nylon ($15) or leather ($39) at TravelSmith; or similar EasyGo Airport Handler from WorldTraveler ($9.45).

Bath on the go

Get refreshed after a long flight with these Fresh Bath extra-large wipes. They're free of alcohol or lanolin but contain moisture-rich nutrients _ vitamins A and E and aloe vera. Eight biodegradable wipes come in a package; $5.50 at TravelSmith or $9.85 at Magellans and other sites.
