With Ohio State and Michigan ready for the game of the year Saturday in Columbus, there has been a shakeup at the top of this week's Matthews/Scripps Howard Computer Power Ratings.
With a 34-3 win at Indiana, Michigan (11-0) is the new No. 1 team while Southern Cal (8-1) ripped Oregon, 35-10, to move up three spots to second. Ohio State fell two spots to third despite a 54-10 win at Northwestern. The three teams are separated by a razor thin margin of less than three-quarters of a point.
Numbers to the left are team rankings. Numbers to the right are the current power ratings. To determine the projected margin, compare the ratings of the rival teams and allow four points for typical home field advantage.
