There is no change at the top of this week's Matthews/Scripps Howard computer college football rankings.
Fresh off a 44-0 rout of Minnesota Saturday, Ohio State (9-0) remains No. 1 while Michigan (9-0) is second, though the Wolverines were far less impressive in a 17-3 win over Northwestern. Florida (7-1) took advantage of USC's 33-31 upset loss at Oregon State to move into third while California (7-1) moved up a spot to fourth. With its first regular season loss in more than three years, USC (6-1) fell two spots to fifth.
Numbers to the left are team rankings. Numbers to the right are the current power ratings. To determine the projected margin, compare the ratings of the rival teams and allow four points for typical home field advantage.
