Upper Deck, Topps offer in-stadium card giveaways
As part of the effort to get more youngsters involved in baseball card collecting, both Upper Deck and Topps have undertaken a number of in-stadium card giveaway promotions.
Here’s a brief recap on the two programs and lists on the remaining giveaways. On a few you’ll need to check with the team for game dates.
Each Upper Deck card in the starter packs will have a randomly assigned Kids Rewards value, a four-digit alpha-numeric code found on the back giving the owner a point reward that can be redeemed online for prizes, such as iTunes songs, movie passes, autographed memorabilia and other exclusive Upper Deck items.
To redeem their points after the game — or at any time this season — kids can go to www.UpperDeckKids.com. The site launched on April 1 as a part of Upper Deck’s Kids Reward program, the industry’s first-ever loyalty program.
Topps packs will offer youngsters a chance at prizes in Los Angeles, Seattle, Texas and Colorado.
