One big photo opportunity

Many of my reporter colleagues feel that they aren’t doing their job unless they are critical of something.

A veteran New York Times reporter complained that there is no large public gathering place where fans can celebrate the Games after hours like Las Ramblas in Barcelona.

The Washington Post had a story pointing out that many of the seats at events here are unfilled, despite claims by Olympic organizers that all tickets were sold out.

Enough already.

The Bird’s Nest stadium has been filled with 91,000 fans every night for track and field. And many of those fans plus countless others gather every day and night outside the stadium in the beautiful area called the Olympic Green.

Navigating through the throng of people is like walking through a giant photo opportunity. Check out the video to see how colorful the scene is.
