Morrow-TV: Kathy Griffin promotes gay marriage ... Other shows

What a shocker: Kathy Griffin is coming out on the side of gay marriage. Or, as she puts it herself: "I'm down with the gays."
On "Kathy Griffin: My Life on the D-List" (airing 10 p.m. EDT Monday, Bravo), Griffin devotes the episode to her semi-comical pursuit of challenging California's stance on gay marriage. She praises California for allowing same-sex marriages to be recognized, but then blames the Mormon Church for having the decision reversed.
Griffin ends up stopping by Melissa Etheridge's house. "It's Harriet and Harriet," she quips of the rock star's household with her partner, Tammy, and their children.
Etheridge prepares Griffin for a dose of reality on her views. "Are you prepared for people not liking you?" Etheridge asks Griffin.
Griffin decides she's going to assume the persona of worker advocate Norma Rae. In Griffin's words, she's "Norma Gay."
While the issue is serious, Griffin attempts to keep the mood as light as possible. She visits a gay youth center and talks to the youths there about their fears and concerns.
Later, she goes door to door, asking residents if they would support her cause. She finds few folks willing to say yes.
However, she is hopeful. "People will listen to reason," she says.
