Legendary snorers in history
-- Napoleon Bonaparte: Overweight, with a short, thick neck, Bonaparte was thought to have had a nasal blockage.
-- Winston Churchill: Overweight, drank considerably, smoked cigars.
-- President Grover Cleveland: Weighed 280 pounds, had a fleshy, thick neck and enjoyed his beer.
-- President Franklin Delano Roosevelt: Suffered from hypertension and sleep apnea.
-- President Theodore Roosevelt: Said to be a snorer "of deafening proportions," TR put on weight later in life and died in his sleep at age 60.
-- Queen Victoria: She stood 5-foot-2 and had a 46-inch waist. During carriage rides her ladies-in-waiting were instructed to keep her from napping -- and snoring -- by moving her pillows around.

Snorers, don't let this happen to you
The Old West outlaw and gunfighter John Wesley Hardin (1853-1895), spending the night in a hotel in Abilene, Kan., in 1871, was annoyed by the snoring of a man in the next room. The story goes that he started firing bullets through the wall. The first bullet woke the snorer; the second killed him.
