Ask Carley: Who signs bridal shower thank-you notes?

Q: When writing thank-you cards for a bridal shower, how should they be signed: by just the bride or the bride and groom?

A: Oh, thank-you cards. They're always a hot topic on TheKnot.com message boards. It's up to you. People will address their gifts and cards to just you at your shower, but you'll typically receive items that you and your husband-to-be will use after the wedding. A nice way to handle the thank-you cards is by signing them from only you but mentioning your groom somewhere else in the note. Talk about how much you two are going to love the cappuccino maker, for example. In this case, you could include a funny detail like how your groom would move to Italy if he could because he loves cappuccinos so much.
