Foster wants his success to add up for Vols

Tennessee tailback Arian Foster would like to feel good about his 2005 season.

When he took over as a starter for the last five games of his redshirt-freshman season, he became the first Vols' tailback since Chuck Webb in 1989 to record 100-yard rushing games in each of his first five starts.

College football's silly season

There they go again.

The coaches have voted Ohio State as the No. 1 college football team in the country.

They declared defending national champion Texas is No. 2. And Notre Dame and USC are tied for No. 3. This despite every Division I-A school having the same record: 0-0.

Naturally, USA Today, sponsors of the coaches poll, is dutifully publicizing these rankings as if they mean something.
