The Southern California football team still has plenty of national championship trophies in the school's display case.

But now there's a bare spot in the collection of team and individual achievements where Reggie Bush's Heisman Trophy used to reside.

"(Tony) Romo was a miracle."

"I needed (Bill Parcells) to get this (expletive) stadium."

"(Tim Tebow) would never see the field."

Are any of the above statements that outlandish?

A bit off color and extremely candid, yes. But what else would you expect from Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones?

Donovan McNabb came to the Philadelphia Eagles amongst a smattering of boos back in the 1999 NFL draft.

McNabb continued to feel the sting of those boos throughout his career as so many promising Eagles teams came up short of the ultimate prize.

The Los Angeles Clippers have had the worst karma of any NBA team hands down.

That became official when rookie sensation Blake Griffin went out with season-ending injury earlier this year.

The guy probably felt a twinge of pain in his knee the second L.A.'s ping-pong ball was drawn for the No. 1 lottery spot last season. That's some pretty powerful voodoo working there.

He'll be wearing purple instead of green this time around, but it will take more than a uniform change for the Dallas Cowboys not to recognize Brett Favre.

Sunday's NFC divisional round playoff game in Minnesota will mark the 12th meeting between Favre and the Cowboys.

In most cases, I welcome seeing the number 11.

Blackjack. Craps. Even my favorite convenience store -- 7-11.

But that number just doesn't cut it when it totals the amount of carries the Dallas Cowboys give their three-headed rushing attack in a game.
