What goes up in recession? Try liquor sales

The ongoing, depressing economic conditions seem to be driving more Pennsylvanians to drink.
Sales at the state-owned Liquor Control Board stores have been rising in recent years, board officials told a state house panel Wednesday, even though the number of wine and spirits stores in the system has been going down.
