Adams: Vols' billboard in Florida will turn a few heads

Tennessee coach Lane Kiffin announced plans for an advertising plan last week while addressing his audience at the Southeastern Conference football media days. More specifically, he said a "billboard will be going up" in Florida next month.

He didn't offer any more details. But my guess is the billboard won't be promoting Florida quarterback Tim Tebow for another Heisman Trophy.

Adams: Florida boasts many strengths, few weaknesses

Florida coach Urban Meyer was asked this week if quarterback Tim Tebow had any annoying habits.
Sure, it was a silly question. But as any experienced journalist can attest, silly questions sometimes produce insightful responses.
Unfortunately, for the pen-pushing participants at SEC football media days, this wasn't one of those times.

Adams: SEC coaches fired up about freshmen

The impact of freshmen in Southeastern Conference football is nothing new. They have helped turn losing teams into bowl teams, and good teams into championship teams.

Adams: Money no object for SEC coaches

The Southeastern Conference knows how to make a splash. The splash comes with cash.
Alabama did it in football two years ago when it made Nick Saban the highest-paid college football coach in the country. Kentucky did it Tuesday when it made John Calipari the highest-paid coach in college basketball.
Who says this is just a football league?
