Burned body found in Henderson desert
Henderson Police officers are investigating a dead and burned body discovered today in a desert area south of the Henderson Executive Airport as a homicide. The body found about 8:30 a.m. Friday was so badly burned investigating officers could not tell its gender, said Henderson Police Lt. Troy Hatch.

Arson ruled cause of fire that destroyed 7 stores
A three-alarm fire that burned overnight for almost an hour in one of the oldest shopping centers in northwestern Las Vegas has been ruled an arson. The fire burned through seven stores before firefighters brought it under control. Damage was estimated at $1 million.
